One Year Blog Anniversary
A year ago, I started this blog to be more consistent and share my knowledge about Cybersecurity. Unfortunately, it hasn’t always been perfect. I planned a considerable quantity of articles every month, but at best, I produced only two per month on average. It’s better than nothing, but for the next year, my goal is to increase the number of articles.
I also dream of finding a workflow allowing efficient writing and publishing. Right now, the process needs more structure. I write when I get inspired, but between an old and a new article, there might be a prolonged period of no activity. That has to change as well. Remember, consistency!
The third simple wish is to improve the SEO behind the website. I am doing a weekly auditing for my site, and the bot finds a lot of elementary SEO mistakes. I will follow the findings and try to address the mentioned issues.
Now, let’s focus on the positives. It’s fun to write. I am always amazed how from nothing, words start to form. Suddenly, you have a whole set of sentences at your disposal. A text is born, and of it goes.
Also, having a blog gives you a sense of achievement. With every new article, you see it growing and expanding. It’s like a plant that grows ever stronger.
And remember the technical aspect. You have to maintain it. For example, add additional features. Look for new themes. Install plugins. A lot of administration work is a separate field itself. Blogging is a great way to expand your skill set.
I will wrap up this article by outlining a few ideas for new pieces in the upcoming weeks. First, I will publish the second article on web app exploitation with WebGoat. Second, I will write a fun essay about Sailfish OS and Europe’s response to Apple and Google’s domination.
