New beginnings
It has been quite some time since I posted anything new regarding cybersecurity. A few things changed as well. I am no longer a SOC Analyst. I work as a Cybersecurity Consultant today. This field is entirely new to me, and it deserves a separate post in the future.
I moved the security blog from edvinasurbasius.net to urbasius.com. For a long time, I have been running two separate blogs. However, I was rethinking my strategy for 2023, and I don’t see any point in writing a blog about productivity because the topic is so dull, and productivity itself is just a modern fad. So get over it, to do the work.
When it comes to the future, cybersecurity is here to stay. This field is very challenging but, at the same time, promising and rewarding. I am planning to continue my energy and efforts in this area.
I want to focus on long-term cybersecurity goals. Thanks to the Zero to Hoodie Substack, I developed a roadmap on my room wall with various stickers. Here is a picture.
As you can see, there is a variety of todos. The first row is more about certifications, and the rest is actual systems, programming languages, working methods, and spreading knowledge. The ambition here is to master these domains.
The roadmap will take some time, but I am confident in my ability to learn. I don’t have any unique talents. I know that you have to put in the time for each activity. If you keep at it, good things will come out of your efforts. That’s a simple life trick.
Very soon, I will publish more articles. See you then!
