I decided to start this blog because I want to document my learning, build a platform, get better at writing. So, for the next six months, I will embark on a journey to get certified in CompTIA’s Cybersecurity+.

I chose this certification path because I want to enhance my skills, try a new direction, and start a career in cybersecurity. At the moment, I am working as a front-end developer, but I feel like my true passion was always oriented towards systems, networking, and security.

My learning plan a simple. I bought a few CompTIA Security+ books. I will go through each chapter, analyze information and practice it. Then, I will supplement it with some video courses. I heard great things about mixing learning styles. It gives you more exposure to the material because different people present the same information in various ways.

The exam costs a whopping sum of 334 euros. I am hesitant to book it now, but I will have to do it as soon as I warm up. I think it is the best motivator. You are putting money where your mouth is.
